Father Christmas goes on Holiday, 1975
I was an odd child, I usually loved the weirdest books at the library. This was one of them, by Raymond Briggs (of The Snowman fame). I guess I really enjoyed reading about what Santa might have done during the off-season. I love how cranky he is-he tries to vacation in the French countryside but decides is he more a Vegas kind of guy.
For those interested, there is another book about Father Christmas, it follows him Christmas night as he delivers gifts. Kind of an early graphic novel right?
