The Art of Coraline.

Okay, so I know I am little bit obsessed, but this movie really inspired me and to me, it really was THAT good. Today a friend sent me a link to Drawn! and I found these fantastic images from Jon Klassen. He worked on visual development and drawings of sets and props for the film. I love seeing process-sketches, colors, type studies, etc. So it was very interesting to see these and compare them to the final product. Aren't they gorgeous? They have such a retro feel, I would totally love prints of all of them. Check out the whole set here.
And I promise, last Coraline post (at least for a while!).

  1. Coraline hasn't come out in Australia yet so I'm still waiting to see it! :(

  2. Oh my goodness, when does it come out there? Soon I hope!

  3. So cool looking - I can't believe I hadn't heard of this! Sad!

Those environments make me want to drawwww! So gorgeous. I will totally check the movie out! Thanks for the heads up, Emily. :)

  4. Oh the pictures are really beautiful.
I've seen the movie and I recommend it to everyone.

ps: I won't mind more "Coraline" posts

  5. Oh, yes. They are gorgeous indeed!
I just LOVE Coraline, and I LOVE Illustrations.
    This set is awesome.
