It's The Weekend!

Happy Easter everyone! I celebrate this holiday by eating lots of lemon pie, chicken with carrots and Jelly Bellies-yum! My dad still hides a basket for me, he's real tricky! I guess one year I cried because I was so frustrated that I could not find my basket (his clues are hard!). Said basket ended up being in the dishwasher, but it took a lot of hints and searching the house inside and out for me to find it.

I love drawing awkward characters, so here's my (quick) take on the Easter Bunny. Have a fantastic weekend!

Lazy Sunday

Some photos from my weekend...

We dyed some eggs. I would recommend Crayola's Construction Paper Crayons, the colors stick to the eggs really well.

My inspiration book, I finally got around to sorting through some of the piles of magazines I have stacked around our place.

A recent acquisition from my mom-isn't this great?! All the birds fit into the tree so it folds up flat. I LOVE it.

Daily Pattern: Peeps!

I tend to celebrate Easter by dying eggs and eating too much candy. Oh yes, the candy is fantastic on Easter-isn't it? I simply LOVE maple filled dark chocolate eggs (yes, I am a weird one!). For the record, I always want to like Peeps, but I really don't, not at all. But they always tempt me by looking so fun and yummy. It's too, too bad they just don't taste more like they look.

If you see some colors here that you are unfamiliar with, please refer to the Peeps website for the new 2009 colors!
