On My Bookshelf: Henri's Walk to Paris

Many years ago my grandfather gave me this book, which I loved as a child but have a new found appreciation for now that I am a designer. The color palette and simple shapes are so fantastic, as well as the fact that the book was designed by the legendary Saul Bass.

Henri's Walk to Paris by Leonore Klein, designed by Saul Bass. Published by Young Scott Books, 1962.

Here is my grandfather, a Creative Director for many years. Doesn't he look distinguished? I wish he was still around to talk design with me.

  1. The pic of your granddad is SO cool. The book art reminds me a bit of Charley Harper.
